Community Invitation: Project Green’s Garden Day – Thursday, June 5!
You're invited to Garden Day, a special event hosted by Project Green on Thursday, June 5th at Melvin H. Kreps Middle School. Families, community members, and students are all welcome to join us for an afternoon of hands-on garden care and community connection.
We’ll be:
Removing extra native plants (guests are welcome to take some home!)
Trimming back some of our tallest plants
Installing decorative fencing to brighten up the space
Setting up a new composter to support our sustainable garden practices
Time: 3:30–6:00 PM
Location: Melvin H. Kreps Middle School Garden
Sponsored by: EWEA (East Windsor Education Association)
It’s a great way to support the school garden, learn more about native plants and composting, and spend time with neighbors and friends. All are welcome—the more the merrier!

In its first year, the Hightstown High School (HHS) Model United Nations (MUN) club explored global issues through research, fundraising, and UN simulations—then capped off the year with a visit to the United Nations Headquarters in NYC. Students toured the historic building, learned about peacekeeping, the Sustainable Development Goals, and heard from expert speakers in English and Spanish. A powerful experience in global citizenship and diplomacy! Next year, we hope to compete against other high schools in conferences!
