Pepin Elementary
A note from Mrs. Riesgraf
We are just wrapping up our second trimester here at Pepin Elementary. We are so thankful that we have been able to be with your children each day, learning together this school year. I am sure you have seen the growth in your children. We are so proud of the milestones we have witnessed the children reach, and we are eager to tell you about them in the upcoming in-person conferences on March 6-7. You should be receiving a letter to confirm your appointment time.
If, for some reason, you need to make a change to your conference time, please let Angie know. She will be happy to assist you. One final note regarding student progress, report cards will be sent the week of March 10-14.
This month’s focus is Cooperation. One way to think about Cooperation is “working together to reach shared goals.” As a school family, we will talk about how this definition applies to our work together at school. We will consider, “What are some goals we share?” In our Eagles Nest Group.
After School Fun
On March 11, the Family Resource Council is sponsoring an after-school assembly. We will begin at 3:40 p.m. and conclude at 4:45 p.m. Please pick up from the school library. Parents are welcome to attend with their children. This event is open to all living in the Pepin Area School District.
Snake Discovery will be here to share their beautiful animals and discuss the unique qualities of snakes and reptiles. A snack will be provided.
4K Screening will be held on March 21 from 9-11 a.m.
We are excited to welcome our newest members to the Eagle family at our upcoming screening event. Contact the district office to register.
Our 4K program features:
Full-day programming
An emphasis on play-based learning,
Developing fine and gross motor skills through fun on the playground and the use of rhythm and movement
Social and Emotional development by building their social skills with cooperation, empathy, self control, and responsibility.
Rest time
Breakfast and lunch programs are available, and classroom snacks
The next Birth to Five Playgroup is March 27 from 6-7:30 p.m. A collaboration between Triple P and Community Education. The group meets at 6 p.m. starting with a meal at no cost to participants. At 6:30 p.m. parents will head into the Library/Media Center to learn about, Raising Resilient Children. Registration Link: Birth To Five/ Positive Parenting Program
March is typically when we hope to wave goodbye to our cold snaps and snow days. However, as you know, it can be unpredictable. We will continue to ask that you send the warmer winter gear for those breezy days. A jacket, hat, and mittens or gloves are especially important to have at the ready. Thanks for assisting us with this! We appreciate you.
