AEA Digital Library
The AEAs purchased 15 new video titles in our AEA Digital Library resource. The examples below support student well-being.
Doug Unplugged (Gr. K-3 - 6 minutes)
Doug is a robot. His parents want him to be smart, so they plug him in each morning and start the information download. After a morning spent learning facts about the city, Doug suspects he could learn even more about it by going outside and exploring it. And so Doug...unplugs. What follows is an exciting day of adventure and discovery. Doug learns amazing things by doing, seeing, touching, listening, and interacting with a new friend.
Say Something (Gr. K-6 - 6 minutes)
Each of us, every day, has the chance to say something: with our actions, words, and voices. There are many ways to tell the world who you are... what you are thinking... and what you believe. And how you'll make it better. Narrated by the author, Peter H. Reynolds. Music By Sarah Hart. A co-production of Weston Woods Studios and FableVision, Inc
Out of Wonder: Poems Celebrating Poets (Gr. 2-8 - 77 minutes)
Celebrates twenty famous poets from around the globe through original poems written in the poets' styles.
Understanding Social Anxiety (Gr. 7-12 - 13 minutes)
Social anxiety--the negative emotions and fear of ordinary social interactions--affects 40% of all US teens. A diverse group of on-camera teens presents the issues. Each explains their symptoms, discusses how social anxiety impacts their lives, and shares their coping strategies. A clinical psychologist provides professional insight. Viewers will understand how common social anxiety is, how it can cause teens to miss out on their lives, and where to seek help.
