Our Mission: “To share the Good News of Jesus Christ, teach children, and assist parents in training children to be witnessing Christians and productive citizens.”
Weekly Devotion
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith. . .” Hebrews 12:1-2
Imagine you’re at a big school sports day, lined up with all your friends for a race. It’s not just you running alone; you’re running with everyone around you. Now, let’s think how this is like our everyday life, where we’re not alone but with lots of friends, all looking to Jesus to guide us!
Here’s how we can think about this together: Just like in a relay race, where you pass the baton to your teammate, in life, we help each other. We encourage our friends when they’re down, we share our snacks, and we cheer each other on. We’re a team, running towards the same goal and being formed by the Holy Spirit in the image of Christ.
Sometimes, your friend might trip or feel like they can’t go on. Remember to be there, just like Jesus is for us. Offer a helping hand, a kind word, or just listen. When we help each other, we all run stronger!
But the key to the greatest race of all, is for everyone in the race to be looking up at the same point – Jesus. He’s not just watching; He’s leading us. When we keep our eyes on Him, we learn how to be kind, how to forgive, and how to love. He is the greatest leader, for He is also our Savior. He brings you through His cross and empty tomb to the celebration of eternal life. Let us run with endurance, knowing that Christ has assured us His victory.
In Christ,
Pastor Schneider
