Principal/Tumuaki message
Kia ora Whānau,
As we reach the end of another successful term, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support. Our school community thrives thanks to the dedication and involvement of our wonderful families. Your participation in our Puanga/Matariki Celebration assembly and open afternoon was truly heartwarming, and I am delighted to report it was a massive success. We look forward to many more opportunities to celebrate our learning and achievements together in the coming months.
If you have any suggestions regarding school community connections or events, please email us. We are eager to explore more opportunities to connect with you.
As we head into the two-week break, I wish everyone a restful and enjoyable holiday. This is a time to recharge and spend quality moments with loved ones. To our staff members Brooke Gibson and Josh Moreland who are embarking on new adventures, we wish you all the best in your future endeavours. You will be missed, and your contributions to our school have been greatly appreciated.
When we return for Term 3, you may notice a few changes in staffing. We are excited to welcome new team members and the fresh perspectives they will bring to our school.
Once again, thank you for all your support throughout the term. Enjoy the break, stay safe, and we look forward to seeing you all refreshed and ready for another exciting term.
Ngā mihi nui,
Juliet Vickers
Puanga Celebration
Ko Puanga te whetū i ārahi i ā Matariki ki te Tau Hou
(Puanga is the star that guides Matariki to the New Year)
Puanga is a time of reflection, preparation, learning, and celebration.
On Wednesday 3rd July we had an assembly to celebrate Puanga. We had some amazing performances by our Kapa haka groups and the kaiako. Each of our whānau groups shared their learning around Puanga. It was awesome to see many whānau/families at our Puanga assembly. Some whānau groups also visited Kōhanga Marae as part of their Puanga learning and had a great time at the marae.
