TRACK SEASON COMES TO AN END
As we wrap up another exciting school year, let us take a moment to celebrate the end of the Spring Sports Season. And what a phenomenal season it has been! From the very first meet to the final race, our student-athletes have demonstrated unwavering dedication, sportsmanship, and school spirit. Their hard work and perseverance paid off in remarkable ways, personal bests were shattered, and our team proudly represented Baker at every competition all the way to the County Meet.
Thank you to our coaches, whose leadership and encouragement have been instrumental in guiding our athletes to success. And of course, thank you to the families, staff, and fans who cheered from the sidelines and supported our team every step of the way. This season was more than just medals and finishes, it was about growth, teamwork, and the joy of striving for excellence together. We are so proud of each and every athlete who gave their all this season. Go Bobcats!
CALENDAR
LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL
As we approach the end of another fantastic school year, we want to ensure that all families are well-informed about the schedule and expectations for the final week of school.
Schedule for the Week of June 2nd – June 6th:
- Monday, June 2nd & Tuesday, June 3rd – Full Days of School
- Wednesday, June 4th through Friday, June 6th – Half Days with dismissal at 11:53 AM
We kindly ask that parents make afternoon arrangements for their students on the half days, as school will not be in session beyond the early dismissal time. If your student is planning to go to a friends house and ride the bus, please write a note and have your student bring it to the office to get an approved bus pass. This will be needed if your student is riding a bus that they are not assigned to.
Locker Clean-Out:
- Final locker clean-out will take place on Tuesday, June 3rd.
- After this date, students will no longer have access to their lockers.
- For the remainder of the week, students should only bring their iPads and yearbooks to school.
End-of-Year Conduct Reminder: While we celebrate the close of the school year, we want to remind all students and families that this is a time to reflect positively on our accomplishments and finish strong. Please remind your student that if they see something, say something. The end of the year brings horseplay, pranks and off campus gatherings. We are asking for everyone's cooperation in maintaining a safe, respectful, and joyful environment for all.
Let’s work together to ensure a smooth and successful end to the school year. Thank you for your continued support!
YEARBOOK
4TH MARKING PERIOD PEP ASSEMBLY
As we wrap up the fourth marking period, we want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible spirit and unity we experienced during our end-of-year pep assembly. It was a joyful and heartfelt gathering where we came together to celebrate the many accomplishments of our students across academics, clubs, and athletics. Their hard work, dedication, and passion continue to make us proud and inspire our entire school community.
This assembly was especially meaningful as we honored several beloved members of our staff. We bid a fond farewell to our Assistant Principal, Mr. Burdette, whose leadership and commitment have left a lasting impact on our school. We wish him well as he takes on his new role of principal at Hill Elementary.
We also celebrated the remarkable careers of our retiring staff members:
- Mrs. Barbat
- Mrs. Chlebek
- Mrs. Lock
- Mrs. Ulewicz
The pep assembly was a beautiful way to close out the school year, filled with pride, gratitude, and a strong sense of community. Thank you to Mrs. Morgan, Mrs. Stetson, the WEB students and everyone who helped make it such a special event!
8TH GRADE PROMOTION CEREMONY
The doors will open for parents at 9:45 am. Please allow additional time to find parking on the North and South sides of campus. Please reference the aerial image of our campus below to confirm the assigned parent parking areas. These areas are shaded in Green.
Please do NOT park on the parent drop off loop or the bus loop. These areas are shaded in Red. A Troy police department officer will be present on campus to assist with traffic and ensure that the identified critical areas are not blocked.
8th grade students should arrive at school at the start of the school day. They will participate in a practice and promotion walkthrough during 1st hour. We are encouraging students to wear business casual or formal attire to the promotion ceremony. Traditionally students wear shirts with collars, slacks, skirts and dresses. This is a memorable milestone for our students and parents, and an event filled with pomp and circumstance. Please note that the school day will end at 11:53 am.
8th grade students can leave with their parents prior to the end of the school day. We are encouraging parents and family members to depart immediately after the ceremony. Our parents picking up their students and busses will be coming on to campus at approximately at 11:30 am adding to the traffic congestion. We are looking forward to celebrating this important milestone with you.
Thank you for your assistance in the successful management of this special event.

CELEBRATION OF LEARNING
What an incredible day we had on Wednesday, May 28, during our 2nd Annual Celebration of Learning! Our halls were buzzing with excitement, curiosity, and pride as our amazing Baker Bobcats showcased the incredible things they’ve learned both in and out of the classroom.
From math wizards and coding champions to equestrian riding, our students truly shined. It was inspiring to see such a wide range of talents and passions on display. Each presentation a testament to the creativity, dedication, and brilliance of our students.
A huge thank you to Mr. Quinn and all the students who shared their learning, the staff who supported them, and the families who continue to encourage their growth. Events like these remind us that learning happens everywhere, and that every student has something special to offer.
Let’s keep celebrating curiosity, passion, and the joy of learning, today and every day. Go Bobcats!
