Sixth Form Trip
This week Year 12 and 13 students visited the Ashmolean Museum and Bodleian Library in Oxford as part of their Art and English Literature course. The Art students viewed the 'Money Talks' exhibition which features many famous artworks and makes up part of the A level course where we look at work in galleries whilst the English Literature students visited the ‘Write, Cut, Rewrite’ exhibition which is dedicated to the creative importance of editing within the field of literature.
Co-Curricular Clubs:
Our co-curricular programme has returned this week, please see below the clubs available to students, if you wish to register your child, please do this via Edulink.
Dreadlock Alien!
Year 7 and 8 students had a visit from Dreadlock Alien! A spoken word poet, he has worked in the business for more than twenty-five years, and showed students how to do some amazing things, like: beatboxing, finding rhyming couplets and taking courage to share our work with others. Both year groups (that's over 300 students!) were completely engaged with his sessions and some of the work that has been produced shows that we have our very own future poets at CTS! As well as doing some workshops with smaller groups, he also hosted two assemblies for the year groups.
Students have worked hard to create a display for Remembrance Day in the Library. They crocheted poppies and were able to use their material to design a wonderful display that encourages students to remember those who gave their lives for us today.

Our students have made a fantastic start to their learning, and lots of lesson stars and achievement points have been given out by staff. In particular we would like to celebrate these students this week who have been recognised most highly for their efforts:
