IMPORTANT--ID Badges

All students must wear their student ID Badge at all times while on campus.

Freshmen and Incoming Sophomores new to Health Careers will be able to get their ID badges for free. Returning students needing an ID replacement will need to pay $5.00.

IDs can be purchased before school only in the front office.

Congratulations to Zayde Sadique

Zayde placed 8th overall in the Cross Country SAISD meet this past Thursday. Way to go Congratulations to the entire team and good luck the rest of the season.

Antonio Infante (senior, trumpet) made Jazz Area! Congratulations on this huge honor, Antonio!

Antonio will be performing with the top Jazz Region Band on November 9th at Clark HS- we look forward to hearing your performance, and we wish you continued success at Jazz Area!

Go Tennis!!

Our HCHS Phoenix tennis team has been doing great these past couple weeks!

The Varsity team won against Taft HS on September 5th with a score of 18:1, and won against Harlan HS on September 13th with a score of 16:3. The JV team won against O'Connor HS on September 4th with a score of 13:6, won against Warren HS on September 6th with a score of 17:2, and won against Holmes HS on September 14th with a score of 18:1.

SENIOR PICTURES

Senior yearbook, graduation cap and gown and casual photos are available at Lifetouch/Prestige Studios by appointment.

Oct. 10 & 11, Prestige Studios will be on campus to take senior yearbook poses (tux & drape) at no charge and will offer cap and gown photos for $10 sitting fee.

Deadline to take your senior picture and be included in the 2025 yearbook is Nov. 8.

HCHS Wellness Club

Hey HCHS! Join the Wellness Club in using the creative arts, volunteerism, and mental health advocacy to promote/conceptualize emotional wellbeing. Our first meeting is THIS Tuesday, September 17th. We’ll be in F115 (medical building) from 4:30-5:30 PM. Hope to see you there!

Health Careers High School PTSA’s Hard work paid off and has earned the Head Start Award! Your PTSA jump-started the year with 75% or more of last year’s total membership.

Friendly Reminder--Lunch Deliveries

Due to allergies, COVID and other health concerns, we will not be allowing any outside food to be delivered to or brought to the campus. Students who have off campus lunch will not be allowed to bring any food back to the campus. Parents bringing a forgotten lunch for their own child may bring it in a lunch box/bag or a plain brown bag labeled with the student's name. Food and drink are not allowed in the classrooms. Students may carry a water bottle.

NISD Financial Aid Night

On Monday, Sept. 23 NISD is hosting the annual Financial Aid Night at the Northside Activity Center from 6-7:30 p.m. This event is for seniors and their parents to learn about the financial aid process: how to apply for federal and state aid, important deadlines, and how to apply for scholarships. If you have questions about the event, please contact Ms. Orozco.
