Archer Glen Food Drive - May 6 to 17
Archer Glen is hosting a food drive to stock the shelves of the Willowbrook Food Pantry. The food drive is from May 6 to 17, which will help Willowbrook feed families throughout the summer. During the drive, students will learn about the important role of food pantries and how they can help those in need in their own communities with compassion and understanding. Below is a list of food items that are most helpful. Students can drop off donations in the collection bins located in each pod at any time during the May 6 to 17 window.

Direct Donations to Willowbrook
Willowbrook also accepts direct donations. If you are interested in donating funds directly, please click on this link or scan the QR code. Monetary donations are one of the best ways to support food pantries. It allows the pantries to purchase fresh food items that are difficult for food drives to collect, such as eggs, margarine, fruits, and vegetables. Monetary donations also allow pantries to better manage special needs and seasonal variations in the items they provide to families.
About Willowbrook Food Pantry
The Willowbrook Food Pantry, in partnership with Journey Church, has been serving families in the Sherwood, Tualatin, and Tigard communities since 2002. They help feed over 100 families each month. Pantry hours are Tuesday's 4:00-6:00pm and Saturday's 9:00-11:00am. The pantry is a 'grocery store' where clients shop from stocked shelves. In addition, Willowbrook offers meat, fresh veggies and fruit, milk, eggs, and butter. The pantry partners with the Oregon Food Bank and receives donations from churches, annual food drives from two elementary schools, and other organizations.
A person or head of family in need can come to the food pantry during the hours listed with proof of Oregon residency. For more information, please contact 971-832-1688. Volunteers are always needed.
