Application Details

• Parts 1-4 must be emailed to Mike Johnson (mike.johnson@nebo.edu) (PDF Preferred). You will need to make a copy of this application and save it to your google drive.

• Part 5 Parent-Student Declaration needs to be printed, signed and turned into Mr. Johnson

• Part 6 Request two (2) SHS Teacher recommendations – Print the last 2 pages and give them to 2 different teachers of your choice.

Key Dates:

• Friday, August 30th: Invitation to apply and application emailed to all Jr and Sr. students.

• Monday, September 16th (3:00 pm): Deadline for submitting completed electronic application.

• Wednesday, September 18th: NHS selection committee meets to evaluate applications.

• Friday, September 20th: All applicants notified of whether or not they have been accepted into the NHS.

• Monday, September 30th 7:30 pm: National Honor Society Induction Ceremony – SHS Room A-1

Sign up for Fall Community School. Enroll in a class to either master a new skill or enhance an existing one. The Community School Program aims to address the diverse needs and interests of our local communities. Classes begin in September. Locations: Payson High, Springville High, Salem Hills High. The Springville Museum of Art will be hosting their first art therapy course for teens with licensed expressive arts therapist Kalli Kronmiller this fall at the Museum. The class will use art, music, movement, and yoga to help students “increase mindfulness, regulate emotions, increase tolerance to stress, and improve communication in relationships.” It will run Monday nights 6:30-8:00pm from Sep 16 – November 4, 2024 at the Museum. It will be completely free for participants and limited to 16 total high school students living in Springville.

Seniors! My name is Joseph Lingwall and I can help you with college applications, FAFSA and financial aid, scholarships, and ACT registration. Drop by my office at the back of the library or use the QR code to sign up for an appointment.

Join us for an ACT Registration workshop on Wednesday, September 11th in the Library Computer Lab. There will be two sessions: 4:30 and 5:30pm. Choose the time that works best for you. Taking the ACT or retaking the ACT can help you get into the college you want and get access to more scholarships! Bring a method for online payment and a recent digital photo or yourself to upload. Parents are welcome! Fee waivers provided if you are eligible.
