Where has the summer gone? It is hard to believe that school starts in just a few days on Monday, August 15th. This newsletter contains some useful information as you start to get your student ready to come back to Washington Elementary.

Principals Welcome Message

It is a pleasure to welcome all students and staff to the 2022-2023 school year at Washington Elementary School. A am honored and humbled to represent the Washington Elementary School community and look forward to another exciting year! We are particularly excited to welcome all our Independent Studies students and Teachers back to in-person learning. The staff at Washington Elementary School is committed to collaborate, support, and instruct all students at the highest level. On behalf of our wonderful staff and I, we Thank you for being supportive and look forward to a great year ahead.

Our first day of school is Monday, August 15, 2022. Our campus will be open at 7:45 a.m. We will continue to have three gates open for arrival and dismissal. The safety of our students and staff is our top priority! I am happy to announce that we will continue to work towards building positive relationships with our students, staff and stakeholders through the implementation of our Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) initiative. I look forward in continuing to establish a positive school culture, climate so that students can excel and thrive.

Finally, I want to invite all our community to visit our website for any upcoming school events and activities as well as our social media accounts. We will continue to show our spirit by wearing our anti-bullying gear on Mondays, School attire on Wednesdays, and college spirit day on Fridays. I want to thank all our parents for their full support and look forward to working closely with you so that we can help all our children receive the best education possible.
