Dressel Families,
Welcome back to 2025! What a way to start of the year!! It was great to see our students and staff back and jumping right in!
We want to inform you about our Alternative Method of Instruction (AMI) plan for virtual learning days, as we currently have only one snow day remaining. In the event of inclement weather requiring additional school closures, virtual learning days will allow us to continue meaningful instruction and maintain academic progress.
Schedule Outline for Virtual Learning Days
9:30–10:00 AM: Morning Check-In
- Guaranteed synchronous time for all students
- Includes class meetings, updates, check-ins, and live instruction
10:00 AM–12:00 PM: Learning Block
- A combination of synchronous and asynchronous instruction
- Focus on ELA and Math instruction
- Whole group, small group, or individual synchronous instruction tailored to student needs
- Asynchronous learning activities provided by teachers
- Specials (e.g., Block/Library) may be scheduled during this time
- Teachers will share specific schedules with families whenever possible
12:00–1:00 PM: Lunch Break
1:00–3:00 PM: Asynchronous Learning Time
- Independent learning tasks and activities from a learning menu
We encourage families to help their students create a quiet, focused learning environment during these virtual days. Teachers will provide resources and guidance to ensure students stay engaged and on track.
Thank you for your continued support in making these virtual learning days a success. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher or the school office.

Maloy Family
I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for the overwhelming support you’ve shown the Maloy family during this difficult time. As many of you know, their house was lost in a fire and everyone is safe. The outpouring of kindness and generosity from our community has been truly heartwarming. For those looking for additional ways to support the Maloy family, a GoFundMe page has been set up to help them rebuild and recover. You can find the link here: Maloy GoFundMe. Thank you for demonstrating incredible compassion and unity towards the Maloy family. This is what makes our Dressel community so special.
Thanks
