Woodbury Middle School Parent/Teacher Virtual Conferences are being held:

We are using PTCFast, the program used by our elementaries, to facilitate scheduling of Zoom virtual conferences for our Trimester 2 parent/teacher conferences.

WHS Boys Tennis Season
Love to play tennis or always wanted to give it a try? Players of any skill level in 7th or 8th grade are eligible to join the WHS Boys Tennis Team.
Please view the main page of the WHS Activities website to view start dates and meeting dates for Tennis. Registration will open February 15, 2025.
Parent/Player meeting is March 6, 2025, WHS Lecture Hall - 7pm (Uniforms will be distributed that night - $75 deposit required.)
Physical and Registration Information
You MUST have a current physical on file before you can participate in practice. Physicals are good for 3 years. There is a link to the printable forms on the activities registration page.
Every Meal: Weekend Food Program
What is it? A free weekend food program with 5 different dietary options to choose from. Meals are packaged
and placed in your student’s backpack every Friday. There are no qualification requirements.

SoWashCo Nutrition Services to Pilot Food Rescue Program at WMS
This week, Woodbury Middle School will begin a Food Rescue pilot program. With the state-funded Free School Meals program in place, the district served 2.7 million meals during the 2023-24 school year, a 10% increase from the previous year. However, this increase has also led to more food waste. To ensure the safety of all students, particularly those with severe food allergies, uneaten food cannot be redistributed in our schools. To cut down on waste and address food insecurity, SoWashCo Nutrition Services teamed up with the local non-profit Basic Needs to start the Food Rescue pilot program.
How You Can Help
Together we can reduce waste and help fight food insecurity in our community. Please talk to your student about the program and why it is important. If they have unwanted, uneaten food, encourage them to leave acceptable items on the collection cart in the cafeteria. Signage reminding students of acceptable items will be posted on or near the cart. To ensure food safety, acceptable food items are limited to:
- Whole pieces of fruit that have a skin or peel
- Unheated, shelf-stable wrapped grain items
Please remind your student not to remove food once it has been placed on the cart.
Nutrition Services staff will sort and store the items for Basic Needs volunteers to pick up. Food is available during the week at the free Basic Needs Food Market (8475 East Point Douglas Road, Ste. 106 in Cottage Grove) on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and on Tuesday and Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Food is also available on the weekends at the Basic Needs Free Little Pantry in the Park Grove Library. Nearly 10% of residents in Washington County worry about running out of food before they can afford more. Please encourage families facing food insecurity to visit the free market or pantry for help.
