Winter has arrived!

Winter has arrived in bold fashion this week! Thank you to all the parents who have been extra careful during pick up and drop off while everyone crosses and gets out/in the cars.

On the days when the "feels like" temperature has been above 20 degrees F, your wildcat has enjoyed playing outside. In order to be in the snow he/she needs snow pants, boots, and gloves. If it's easier to have a "school set" that stays here, that works for us, too. If your wildcat seems to be missing some of those items, our lost and found is pretty full. (see picture below). You can come in to look for anything lost by checking in at the office with your driver's license or state ID and vaccination card.

Since everything takes a little longer when the weather is like this, please allow a few extra minutes in the morning. Your wildcat should be here by 8:00AM. The tardy bell rings at 8:05AM. If you arrive after that time, your child will need to come through the office and be signed in by an adult. The adults in the neon vests out front have other duties when the school day starts, so they, too, need to be able to get inside on time.

The buses are also impacted by the weather. On the District website, http://www.hsd153.org,

there's a new link called "Today's Bus News." It will let you know if any of the buses have had issues and are running late.

The weather for next week looks pretty wonky, too. 22 inches, really? Dr. Mc Alister sent an email on January 25th regarding the District's procedures if we would need to close. The District website (link above) is always your best source of information.
