Family Newsletter
4/24/22
Yay- we finally warmed up and had some nice weather at the end of this week! It came just in time for us to celebrate Earth Day yesterday! Thank you to Mrs. Tutskey, Mrs. Ross and all the parent volunteers who got our outdoor areas cleaned up a couple weeks ago. The kids had a great time picking up trash, planting things, and recording notes and pictures in their science journals. We had a fun day of learning about the importance of taking care of our Earth and being responsible citizens.
Our 4th and 5th graders did such a great job with their MAP testing this week! We were so proud of all their effort and perseverance. This week 3rd grade is testing on Tuesday-Thursday. I'm sure that they will do great!
Please take a moment to provide us with feedback on parent communication. We will use your feedback this summer to create our school improvement plan for '22-'23. Thanks in advance for your participation! Click here for parent survey. We have had 65 parents complete this so far and our goal is 200. It is only 5 questions and multiple choice and should take you less than 3 minutes to complete. Thanks so much!
Please reach out at any time to share any questions, concerns, or ideas. I am here to help and support you and your family. Thanks for all you do to help keep our students and staff safe.
Take Care-

Mrs. Uhles Honored for Missouri Sports Hall of. Fame
While we know and love our 2021-22 Teacher of the Year, Teresa Uhles, as a wonderful teacher, colleague and friend, did you know she was also an amazing track star as a student herself? Mrs. Uhles, along with her cross country teammates from Neosho High School, were inducted into the prestigious Missouri Sports Hall of Fame during the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2022 for the Women’s Sports Luncheon on Wednesday in Springfield, Mo.
Fun fact: Other Missouri Sports HOF inductees include Stan Musial and Isaac Bruce! Congrats, Mrs. Uhles!

Robinson PTO Board Needs Volunteers for 22-23 School Year
All open board positions are "elect" positions which means you will work alongside the current board member for a year before transitioning into the role. We recognize many of us are stretched thin in life and couldn't imagine carving out any extra time. But this type of community service really is rewarding especially when you see the joy on our students' and teachers' faces.
If we have a strong, diverse team we can strike a balance with time commitment and will be more successful at building a Robinson community that is connected, engaging and enriched!
All are welcome! Please contact us as robinsonpto@kirkwoodschools.org if you would like to hear more or are interested in joining our Board.
