PAC Events and Information
1st quarter Awards Assembly November 18th
Awards Assembly
Students that will receive an award for our first quarter Awards Assembly should have received an invitation this past week. Please come celebrate with us! Once the grade level assembly is over, we expect our students to return to class to finish their school day. Thank you for supporting the learning taking place each day, celebrating with us and allowing your student to remain at school.
Time of the Assemblies are below. Please note the time change.
Awards being given are the following:
- Character Traits: Compassion, Generosity and Self-Control
- Wolf PAC Pride- Students who go beyond each and every day to display the HOWL expectations of having respect, being on task, working to be kind and leading with integrity.
- Most Improved- Students who have shown extreme growth in one or more areas to include: academic success, self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, responsible decision making and relationships skills.
- Honor Roll (Grades 3-5)- Students who earned A's and B's for all graded subjects including resource, band and strings.
- Principal Honor Roll (Grades 3-5)- Students who earned all A's for all graded subjects including resource, band and strings.
American Education Week Schedule
November 18-November 22 American Education Week
For the week of November 18-22, we will celebrate as a campus with a spirit week and classroom visits. Please see below for the Spirit Week and scheduled classroom visits. Please note in grades 1-5, parents will have an opportunity to visit their child's resource during the grade level visitation time. Please sign in when you arrive on this day. We look forward to seeing you!

Help Wanted for PAC
Substitute Teachers
We wanted to reach out to all our PAC families to see if anyone would be interested in becoming a substitute teacher here at PAC.
As a substitute teacher you could be on the same schedule as your children, choose to work only at PAC, and can choose to be a long-term substitute at times as well. If interested, please apply on the Calvert County website or contact PAC directly and we can help you get started.

Important Information
- School hours are 9:25 a.m. to 4:10 p.m. Doors open at 9:00 a.m. Kiss and Go line will close at 9:20 a.m. Morning openings begin promptly at 9:25 a.m. Students are expected to be in class and ready to go by 9:25 a.m.
- Dismissal begins promptly at 4:05 p.m. We ask if you are arriving early to sign your child out before the end of the school day, you must arrive prior to 3:50 p.m. In order to minimize disruptions during the end of the school day, students will not be called for an early dismissal after 3:50 p.m.
- If your student is being picked up early, please send in a note or an email to PACAttendance@calvertnet.k12.md.us letting the office know about the early departure. If someone other than the parent/guardian is picking up a student, written permission is required.
CHIPP Program
CHIPP weekend Meal program at capacity.
The Childhood Initiative Power Pack (CHIPP) weekend meal program sponsored by the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority is currently at capacity and no additional applications will be accepted at this time. Families interested in weekend meal support can still be added to the HeartFELT program sponsored by our local churches.
Heart F.E.L.T.
We are happy to tell you that Patuxent-Appeal Elementary School is a part of a program called:
Heart F.E.L.T. (Feeding Empty Little Tummies)
This program is offered through some of our local churches. Your child is eligible to receive a small bag of food for the weekend every Friday. The food is provided to you at NO cost. Contents will include small meals/supplemental items and snacks for the weekend.
