Our dedicated staff has been working hard to prepare for a successful school year, ensuring that our classrooms are ready for engaging and meaningful learning experiences. We are committed to providing a nurturing, supportive, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We whole-heartedly welcome conversation and input throughout this year as we keep students' well being and learning the primary focus of our work. As a community of educators, parents, and students, we have a lot of work ahead of us at the start of each new school year and we know we’ve got this because at Evergreen...
“Together, we ensure every student, without excuse and without exception, will meet or exceed proficiency in reading, language, and math. We are Evergreen Eagles!
Please take a moment to read the updated Evergreen Family Newsletter to help keep you informed and well-prepared. Thank you for entrusting us with your child's education. Together, let's make this school year a fantastic and memorable one for our students.

Go Eagles!
EXCITING NEWS!
Our entire Evergreen staff and student-body are in a new location for the 2024-2025 school year while our home campus is being completely renovated and expanded! We are lovingly calling our temporary location "Camp Evergreen."
Open House
Please join us for our Evergreen Elementary's Back-to-School Night on Monday, August 26th from 5:00-6:30 PM.
This is a great opportunity to meet your student's teacher, tour the school, and learn more about Evergreen Elementary.Open House will be held on Monday, August 26th.
At Evergreen our families show up! We typically have large crowds excited to get set for another successful school year. This combined with limited space and families with multiple children, makes it necessary to have Open House in 2 sessions.
- Session 1: Families and their K-2 students will meet in the gym at 5:00pm for a short welcome message, then proceed to K-2 classrooms to meet teachers at approximately 5:15. K-2 Classrooms will close at 6:00.
- Session 2: Families and their 3-5 students will meet in the gym at 5:45pm for a short welcome message, then proceed to 3-5 classrooms to meet teachers. 3-5 classrooms will close at 6:30.
- For families with students in both grade bands, please choose the welcome session that works best for you, and plan to attend classrooms at the times listed above.
- PTA is hosting an ice cream social under the play shed, following each session!
We are excited to see everyone in the fall!
Medications and Health Plans for Students
This is a reminder that if your child has a life-threatening condition...
(allergies with an Epi pen, severe asthma, seizure disorders with rescue medication, or diabetes)
- We must have updated medication orders and the medications turned in to the school prior to the first day.
- If these have not been turned in your child will not be able to safely attend school.
For more information on when to drop off, please contact Ms. Ashley in our health office. (253) 800-8293..
We are looking forward to our work together this year as we commit together to the success of each of our students!

First Day of School
Many families want to see their students onto campus on the first day of school, which as a parent myself, I completely understand. We welcome you to accompany your child on the first day. As you do so, please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Please pack your patience and allow for plenty of time. Arrival will take longer on the first days of school, as more families do accompany students, and it takes time for students adjust to the traffic patterns and find their way.
- To ensure a smooth and secure start, parents must drop students at designated areas only. We ask that our parents remain in their cars. Parents won't be able to accompany their children through the halls or go behind the school. Our commitment to safety is consistent, even on the first day of school.
Thank you for your patience and help to keep our school safe.

Parent Pick-Up/Drop-Off Reminders
At Evergreen Elementary, we make student safety a top priority. If your student will be arriving or departing school through our Parent pick-up/drop-off loop, please follow the directions noted below. We will have NO walk-up arrivals this year, due to our location. This means ALL students will arrive by bus in the bus lot or by car/truck in the parent loop.
Students that arrive after the final 8:45 bell will need to brought into the school and checked-in by the adult.
To ensure student safety, please follow the following student drop-off and pick-up expectations:
Arrival:
- Use only the parent lane in front of the school for drop-off.
- Students remain in the car until the car reaches one of the numbered drop-off slips.
- Students only exit the car curb-side, closest to the school.
- Be sure you drop your student off so they can be on time for class. Class starts at 8:45 AM. Breakfast is served starting at 8:25 AM.
- Students will enter through the main entrance for breakfast.
- Use only the parent lane in front of the school for pick-up.
- Students wait in the gym and will be called to your vehicle to load cars at the numbered slips against the curb closest to the school.
- Student will load only curb-side closest to the school to keep students safe from passing vehicles.
Helpful tip: Please teach your students to buckle and unbuckle themselves to keep the line moving.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation and support in our efforts to ensure your students are safe in their travels to and from school. We are looking forward to a great school year. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions/concerns at 253-800-8200.
