Congratulations to our band and chorus students for their performances this past week in the Music In Our Schools Instrumental and Vocal Concerts. You did an amazing job and should be very proud of the hard work you put in to make such a memorable night! Also, great job to our RMS Music Department of Mr. Rubinstein, Mr. Kowalski, Mr. Cunningham, and Mr. Mills for your organization!

Students are hard at work experimenting, printing and exploring with new mediums and techniques. These students are not afraid of getting their hands dirty and using non traditional tools to create a variety of textures and outcomes. A special thank you to the Foundation For Beacon Schools for supporting us with this project.

Spring Athletics is right around the corner! Here is some important reminders and info:

1) FamilyID for Modified/Developmental Sports opened on March 4th, 2024. All student-athletes must be signed up and approved on FamilyID before they try-out for a sport.

2) Try-outs and practices for Spring begin on April 2nd, 2024. More info will be on the Announcements in school.

3) The following sports are offered in the Spring: Softball, Baseball, Girls Lacrosse, Girls and Boys Spring Track and Field, Developmental Girls and Boys Golf, Developmental Boys Tennis, and Girls and Boys Crew.

In Ms. Eveland's Literacy classes, we are learning about women in history for National Women's History Month. Each student is assigned a different woman in history, and will research that woman and create a banner for her. See some images below!

Below are the dates for the NYS Computer Based Testing for ELA and Math in Grades 6-8. There is also a CBT for 8th Grade Science. The dates are below.

CBT for ELA: April 11th and April 12th

CBT for Math: April 23rd and April 24th

CBT for 8th Grade Science: May 14th

eSports spring season starts this week. Practice begins Wednesday, March 13th. Our first game will be Friday, March 15th . We hope to continue the success of last season! Check out the BOCES eSports website for updates!

Come and find out what is going on at RMS, more about what the PTO will be doing this spring and the end of year events we need to plan. Bring your questions, concerns and ideas too.
