Artwork done by Ms. Bowers first grade class at Patwin Elementary School: Featured are just a few of the wonderful underwater seascapes with turtles created by the students in Ms. Bowers classroom. Watercolor painting is beneficial for our students to learn how to coordinate the small movements of their fingers to produce a work of art.

The article hyperlinked above explains "The Spoon Theory" and how it relates to each individual's specific mental and physical limitations and challenges. The Spoon Theory is used to describe how children with disabilities have limited energy resources and can expend more energy on everyday tasks compared to their peers. “Spoons” is a metaphor, a code word, to describe and measure how much physical and emotional capacity each of us has to get through the day.
