Fox Elementary School has been awarded a $24,930 Lead The Spark Klein ISD Education Foundation (KEF) grant for the "Knowledge in a Vending Machine: Fueling Curiosity with Books and STEM" initiative.

Hello Parents,

National Teacher Appreciation Week is May 5-9, and we are making a special effort this year to express heartfelt appreciation for our teachers and staff.

During the week of May 5-9, our school is doing an amazing Teacher Appreciation Themed Week with lots of contests and treats each day (It’s a secret so I can’t quite tell you the theme, but we are SOOOOO excited!). I’m sure it will be fun and exciting for the students as well.

We have creative ideas and special privileges for many of the prizes and treats, but we could use support with these two areas:

1. We need to obtain a good pool of donations for the contest prizes. These could be to any thing or place you think teachers and staff might like, and having a variety is part of the fun. If you would like to donate one or more, please drop them off at the office by May 2nd. We will use these as prizes for the school-wide contests, so please don’t let this take away from anything you might normally do for your individual teachers

2. Throughout the week we need to periodically stock our lounge, which we are turning into a type of VIP Club, with cookies, brownies, homemade treats, finger sandwiches, or anything you think they might like to see when they walk into that lounge. If you can contribute a tray of something, please call the front office at 832-375-8900 and we will coordinate a day for you to provide it.

Huge shout out to Brooke Silva and the Fox PTO for organizing our first time ever, Earth Day event.

The KEF fun run is coming up. Grab your sneakers and join us for the KLEIN ISD Education Foundation Fun Run, benefiting the Klein Education Foundation! Underwritten by Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital, this community event will feature a 5K race and kids fun run. Proceeds from the Fun Run benefit the Klein Education Foundation, which awards teacher classroom grants for innovative academic and enrichment projects of the Klein Independent School District.
