We are excited to begin a new quarter of the Soaring High Headlines with the Multi-Media Publishing Elective! Since filming coincided with Red Ribbon Week and shorter class times for the activities planned, we had only a little time for introductions, and not our normal broadcast. While we continue to fine tune our news station for the Multi-media Publishing Elective, please continue to get your news here. On October 19, the 8th grade team played against St. Rita. They won one game and went to a third for a tie breaker! The scores were 10-25, 25-11, and 8-15.

Yesterday, they played two games at 5:45 and 6:30 against St. Joseph and SMG for the Diocesan Tournament. They have another game on Saturday and we pray they finish the season strong! Go Eagles!

On Saturday, October 19, the 5-6 grade team played against All Saints. They won their match in 2 sets with scores of 25-15 and 25-10! Way to go, Eagles! They got ice cream to celebrate after a great season. Congratulations!

Soccer seasons is starting soon and SJS will be hosting several games. We would like to take advantage of the games by selling snacks and drinks! Help will be needed to run these concessions; ESP hours will be earned! If you have current Safe Environment, please click on the image above to sign-up.

Congratulations to these awesome Eagles of the Quarter! Recognized during our Pep Rally on October 23, each of these students demonstrated exemplary behavior, leadership, and academic drive.

Congratulations to these awesome kids who were on the A Honor Roll for Quarter 1! Not an easy feat, especially coming off the heels of summer into a rigorous academic routine like we have at SJS. But they did it and we're so proud of them!

Congratulations to these awesome students who earned A's and B's for Quarter 1! Way to show your stamina, grit, and perseverance academically as you adjust to all the demands of a new grade level!

New for SJS, Mrs. Ratcliff is handing out "Angel of the Month" awards to students who demonstrate beautiful participation in music class and beyond, whose behavior exemplifies someone who is about bringing glory to God in all they do, and who ask great questions that further their understanding of the language of music.

The following dates and times will be held at St. John's in the Resource Room for the remainder of the year for Adult Initial Training. (This is a great way to go ahead and get your Safe Environment for volunteering at SJS campus, Fall Fest, etc.)

• Saturday, November 16: 9:00am - 12:00pm

The following dates and times will be held at St. John's in the Resource Room for the remainder of the year for Adult Renewal Training. (This required every three years to ensure your Safe Environment training is up to date.)

• Thursday, December 5: 6:00pm - 7:30pm

Hello SJS Family!

This year the center will celebrate the Day of the Dead; this celebration starts on Nov 1st and will last thru the end of the month. The celebration focus on the lives and memories of family members that have passed on to their eternal rest. The center is requesting parents to bring in pictures of their loved ones that we can placed on the altar.
