The season is approaching quickly! Even faster than we originally thought. Our district conference season is now starting a week earlier than previously listed. Here are some important dates for you and your athlete's calendar:
- Thursday, Feb. 22 at 3:15: Important 20 minute team meeting and coach introductions for athletes in the AMS large gym. Athletes will receive information about the season, events, and all of our meets. That information will be emailed to parents.
- Monday, Feb. 26 at 3:15: First practice! Practices are every school day after school from 3:15 - 4:45. Athletes meet on the AMS track / bleachers
- Wednesday, Feb. 28 - Friday, March 1st: No practice (AMS conference days)
- Wednesday, March 20 at 3:45: Home meet @ AMS
- Thursday, April 11 at 3:45: Home meet @ AMS
I am including our home meets because we will need several volunteers to help run field events. If you or a family member is able to help out for a few hours at one or both of our meets, we'd really appreciate it! I can prioritize you helping at an event that your athlete is participating in as well. If you'd like to commit, please let me know so I can start to coordinate this effort!
We are excited for our season and looking forward to seeing returning athletes as well as our newcomers!
