MAP and Fastbridge Results
District 15 is committed to supporting the academic growth of every child. To monitor progress, we use the FastBridge Learning assessments for all students grades K-2 and grade 3 students in Bilingual classrooms. Students in grades 2-8 also take the MAP (Measure of Academic Progress) assessment.
Results from fall assessments are now available to parents via the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. For full information on how to view these results, see the linked document below "MAP & Fastbridge in Parent Portal"

PTA
If you are unfamiliar with Reflections, the program is organized by the National PTA for students to explore the arts and express themselves. "The Reflections program provides opportunities for recognition and access to the arts which boost student confidence and success in the arts and in life. Each year, over 300,000 students in Pre-K through Grade 12 create original works of art in response to a student-created theme. This 50+ year-old program helps them explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful in school and in life." The program involves the National PTA, Illinois PTA, regional NWSC PTA and local schools.
This year's theme is "Accepting Imperfection," which we can all relate to! There are six arts categories: visual arts, photography, literature, music, film production and dance choreography judged by grade groups. There is also the Accessible Arts division, which invites students who identify as having a disability and may receive services under IDEA or ADA: Section 504 to enter in the Accessible Arts Division or grade division most closely aligned to their support needs. All Sanborn students' artwork will advance to regional level then be judged to move beyond. There is a Reflections showcase on January 27 to celebrate all NWSC student entries.
If your child would be interested in participating in Reflections this year, there will be an informational meeting in the Library on Wednesday 10/23 at 11:45 am during the lunch hour. Parents can also contact the school office for additional contact information if interested.
