PRINCIPAL'S CORNER
WEEK ENDING IN 11/5/2021
Dear OSES Families,
Thank you for yet another amazing week here at Orlando Science!
The book fair was going on all this week in both buildings- We hope that everyone who wanted to check out the book fair had a chance to get some great books and accessories!
With the cooler weather approaching, please be sure that your students are coming to school with the appropriate clothing. Only jackets/sweaters with the school logo are allowed in the classroom. Other non school jackets may be worn outdoors only.
Re-Enrollment forms will be emailed out next week. Please be sure to submit the form for each student by December 10th if you are interested in returning to OSES next year. More information can be found below.
Don't forget to set your clocks back for day light savings this weekend!

KINDERGARTEN
This week we learned about digraphs that have the letter 'ch'...we got messy, explored the outdoors and then subtracted our facts by writing facts outside and erasing our answers with vinegar!
This week in Kindergarten we explored with chalk, gravity with pennies, illustrated stories and the most importantly learned about unique things in our environment.
We finished our week learning about diwali, art from India and making designs!! Come check out our bulletin boards!!
We also want to thank all the parents that volunteered for the Book Fair, gave donations to the class and helped other students!!
FIRST
First grade finished our unit on Force of Motion. We had so much fun learning about pushes and pulls.
We have been enjoying the cooler weather. Please make sure to label jackets and sweaters.
Happy Diwali to those who celebrate.
SECOND
Our STEM challenge today called twist and turn. Our class built roller coasters from index cards and tape. We were learning about force and motion this week and ended with a fun Friday

This week in Mrs. Molnar and Ms. Molloys' PE we are working on our hand eye coordination with Four Square. We are working on using our bouncing skills and accuracy as well as being good sports. The students had a lot of fun and did a great job!

Hello families!
Please remember that you should not arrive on campus before clubs dismiss. Even coming 5 minutes early causes backups in our dismissal process.
- Building 1 (grades K-3) - clubs dismiss at 3:40 during the week and 2:40 on Wednesday
- Building 2 (grades 4-6)- clubs dismiss at 3:30 during the week and 2:30 on Wednesday
