Walk-A-Thon
A WORD FROM PRINCIPAL WILSON
Dear Taylor Families,
As we begin October, I want to take a moment to reflect on the progress we have made since the start of the school year. Our students are thriving, engaged in their learning communities, and forming connections throughout our school. I am so thankful that I get to connect and be with your students each day!
As the weather begins to change, it’s always a great time to remind everyone to dress appropriately for the cooler days ahead. We want all students to feel comfortable and ready to learn! If your child needs a jacket, hat, or gloves, please let the front office know. We have our Taylor Closet which was graciously donated from our community partners to help with these items.
Walk-a-Thon & PHS Homecoming Parade:
Thank you PTO for putting together an awesome walk-a-thon for our school! This was a great way to get a little exercise and raise money for PTO. We appreciate everyone’s support to help us raise over $5000! We also had a blast supporting our prior Taylor Tornadoes at the PHS Homecoming parade. Our students and staff enjoyed supporting our community!
Conferences:
We are looking forward to seeing you at our upcoming October conferences. You should have received some information in Thursday folders to begin scheduling them with teachers based on your preference. Conferences will be Thursday, October 10th from 4:00-8:00pm and Friday, October 11th from 8:00-8:00pm.
Monthly Theme - Empathy:
Our theme for October will be empathy. Empathy is the ability to share someone else’s feelings or experiences by imagining what it would be like to be in that person’s situation. At the end of the month, classes will nominate a student who has shown empathy to be their student-of-the-month!
PTO:
Click HERE to see when all of our upcoming PTO meetings will take place. We always meet in the Taylor library on the 2nd Tuesday of every month. We would love to have you join our awesome team!
Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Let’s make October a month filled with learning, growth, and fun!
Respectfully,
Shawn Wilson
Taylor Principal
Lost & Found
PTO will be helping us with our lost & found this year! Please be sure to have your students look through it or stop by and look through it yourselves when you have the chance. It's VERY full!
Taylor Closet
We have received a generous donation to create a Taylor Closet that will provide apparel and hygiene products for our students. Please contact Mrs. Kuhn or Mrs. Steele if your family could benefit from this opportunity.
