Principal's Weekly Update
May 27th-31st
Dear Families,
I apologize for my newsletter being late this week. I was out this past week due to both of my sons being sick and hospitalized. Thanks be to God everyone is well and at home. I am currently working my way through my email inbox and will reply in the next 24-36 hours. I appreciate your patience.
The end of the year is quickly approaching and we have a lot of exciting things to look forward to in the next couple of weeks. Our eighth grade students are less than two weeks away from their graduation. The last day of school for students in grades 1--7 will be 6/13. This will be an early dismissal at 11:30. We have some fun things planned for the end of the year, so keep an eye out for additional information.
This week we will be holding a drive to support Missions for Humanity and their 2024 trip to Tanzania. All supplies collected will be brought on the mission trip this July. On Friday, 5/31, we will hold a dress down day in support of this cause. Students can either bring in supplies (see list below) or pay $5. Students who have gym on Friday will be able to dress down, but please make sure they are dressed appropriately for gym class.
Sincerely,
Megan dos Santos
Principal

New Family Referral Program
Any family who refers a new family to our school is eligible for a $600 tuition credit. If a new family enrolls, you will receive a $300 credit to your FACTS account in November. If the new family re-enrolls for the 2025-2026 school year, you will be credited with another $300 in the spring. We have had a steady number of new families enrolling students, many of them referred by our current families. Thank you to all those who are sharing about all the great things happening at Holy Name School with the community!
Community Yard Sale
Holy Name will be hosting its 2nd Annual Community Yard Sale on Saturday, June 29th & Sunday, June 30th from 7 AM to 3 PM at Holy Name School. It will be held rain or shine, with spaces both indoors and outdoors available. All are welcome to buy and sell goods!
Do you have items to sell at the yard sale? Purchase a spot for $25; then bring your items to sell and keep the profit from your sales. Vendors, crafters, and collectors are also welcome to participate. To purchase a spot, please contact Dorothy Mahoney-Pacheco at 401-556-9729 or faithformation@holynamefr.com.
The Jr. Scholarship is directed to those families with financial concern over continuing their child's Catholic education into high school. Students do not need to be Polish. Extracurricular activities and community involved students are preferably chosen.
