OUR MISSION STATEMENT
What's Happening This Week?
Happy last Sunday of this school year! This week we will be looking at grades and notifying parents of students who will be retained based on grades, attendance or DIBELS (3rd only). Retention notices will be sent home with students this week and mailed home with report cards. If your student has missed more than 10 excused absences, turn in doctor's notes this week to be sure their absences are under the limit. Afternoon carpool-Load A and Load B can line up between 3:05 and 3:20 Monday-Thursday. PLease be in line by 3:20-we should be fihised by 3:20. We're anticipating less cars bc of checkouts. Friday, the last day of school is an early dismissal day and buses will leave school at 11:45. On Friday, carpool can line up at 11:35. We're excited to celebrate our Pre-K, K and 5th grade students. Be sure to arrive on time for their programs so you don't miss anything. Parents will park, enter and exit by the gym for K and 5th programs. For Pre-K, you will park and enter through teh front entrance. Be sure to watch our FB this week on Thursday for the big reveal for the Bronco Award honorees from each grade. We will put lost and found items and jackets outside the office each day. If your child is missing a jacket, please come check the table. If it's yours, please take it-no need to come inside and tell us. All items not claimed by Thursday will be donated. Thank you for your partnership in helping our Broncos to learn and grow this year. We appreciate your support and trust. It's going to be a great week to be a Bronco for one last time this year!

End of the Year Parent Survey for Capturing Kids Hearts
Parents,
We are wrapping up our first year of implementing Capturing Kids Hearts. We've been excited to see how this has impacted our students and staff. We were honored to be named a national Rising Star School for our successes with the program this year. Please take a minute and do this survey to help us plan for next year.
Just a few yearbooks left...
Transportation Update...
COWBOY: We no longer have a Cowboy driver. Cowboy will continue to ride on Tumbleweed the rest of the year. Tumbleweed will be split between Coyote and Tumbleweed like we've been doing until the end of the year.
SPURS: Ms. Nicky, B356 will begin doing Horseshoe and Spurs each AM and PM together starting Monday, April 21st.
MUSTANG: Ms. Keisha , B542, will be back and running Mustang route on Monday, April 21st. Yeehaw!
BRONCO: Bronco students will continue to ride with Rodeo/Mrs. Chrissy both AM and PM.
ARMADILLO: Starting Monday, April 21st, Ms. Cheryl, B899, will be driving Armadillo route.

CAR POOL HELP NEEDED...
Car pool parents, there are chunks of time during car pool when we have no cars to unload. Then at the 8:00 bell, cars pull up and we can't unload after the bell. We have to end at the bell-if we keep unloading, cars keep coming and then teachers and staff are late to class. Please watch your time-if you are not able to get here AND unload before the bell at 8:00, please get here earlier or send your child on the bus. Students arriving late will need to be walked inside the office and signed in on their check in/out card. Please do not send students to walk behind buses as that's dangerous and students must be walked into the office when they are late. Thank you for your cooperation to keep students safe.
We really need your help parents! We have so many parents in car line that it's causing issues. If you get here BEFORE we start unloading, the line is backing up to the road and that's not safe. If you get here and the line is already to the turn, PLEASE pull up and don't leave any gaps. If you see a bus needing to get out, please yield to the bus so they can get out otherwise you can pull up and you DO NOT have to keep those gaps open. Please, please don't get here before 7:00. You need to arrive between 7 and be here before 8:00. If you arrive right at the bell, the duty teachers have to get to their classes. They can't stay there because the line just gets bigger and bigger after the bell. We know this can be frustrating but need you to understand that there has to be an end or they'd never get to their class. If you want to start your child on the bus, call and we can help get that started. THANK YOU for your cooperation and assistance.

Parental Involvement Opportunities
Thank you parents for making our Parent Picnics a success! For next year, we're planning to do more early in the year to try and avoid weather issues. Who would have thought that we'd ever have to postpone one for snow and then reschedule the same one for rain? Luckily when we scheduled the 3rd grade one for the 3rd time, it was a beautiful sunny day! Our holiday lunches were also a success. We appreciate our Lunch Bunch and the extra work to cook for the additional guests. It takes a lot of planning to accommodate and feed almost 900 people on holiday lunch days. It's been a great year and we've enjoyed getting to help make some memories for you and your student.

THANK YOU STAFF!
I want to say a super "THANK YOU" to all of my staff. From the bus drivers, the Lunch Bunch, the custodian crew, the school nurses, the secretaries, counselor, librarian, instructional coaches, and the teachers and paras-everyone helped make this a successful year! It takes each of them to make our school run smoothly. We are only successful when everyone works together. I'm so proud of my staff and how they have worked hard to succeed for their students. We're ready to keep doing big things!
Thanks for giving your Bronco Best,
Mrs. Thomason
