Parent Teacher Conferences
Dear Parents/Guardians,
We are happy to share with you that parent-teacher conferences have now opened to everyone for booking Wednesday, November 6, and Thursday, November 7. The structure will be a little different this year. Parents will have the opportunity to book an appointment between 5 pm - 8 pm Wednesday and 5 pm – 6:20 pm Thursday.
Additionally, for parents who do not need a private appointment but would like to meet their child’s teacher or touch base, we are offering an Open House drop-in session during the last 1.5 hours on Thursday from 6:30 pm - 8 pm. If this Open House meets your needs please book into the schedule titled “Open House - Use this booking to indicate attending the Open House. “
Please take advantage of this opportunity to connect with your child’s teachers. We look forward to seeing you there!

PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES- New Structure
This year, we are introducing a new structure for our Parent-Teacher Conferences to ensure that teachers can meet with the parents they need to connect with regarding their child's progress. With teachers responsible for up to 180 students, this new format allows us to focus on meaningful discussions.
Wednesday evening and the first part of Thursday evening will be dedicated to scheduled appointments for parents the teacher feels they need to meet with.
For parents who would like to touch base or introduce their child’s teacher, we are offering a drop-in session during the last 1.5 hours on Thursday (5:30–7:00 PM) .
Please note, that if a teacher does not request an appointment, it is a sign that your child is doing well. We understand that some parents may feel hesitant not to book a meeting, but we encourage you to trust that the teacher will reach out if there are concerns. This new structure ensures that parents of students who require more detailed discussions will have the time they need. We appreciate your understanding and support as we work to make this process as meaningful and effective as possible.

Construction Materials Needed
Our construction teachers are looking for some help in donation of materials that are high use consumables and assistance in picking up wood from a saw mill in Caroline.
Consumables:
- Wood glue
- Wood stain
- Indoor paints
- Brushes: foam, paint chip, and detailing.
- Sand paper: sheets or discs
Pick up: We are ordering a lift of 1X6X10' rough cut boards from a saw mill in Caroline. Previously we would use a division truck to pick this material up. We no longer have access to this. Thus, we are asking for help from the community in picking up this lumber from Caroline and delivering it to the school.
Please reach out to tyler.lagrange@rdcrs.ca if you have any questions or can help.
