Congratulations to our Prairie Pride Lottery Winners for the week of February 3rd - February 7th!
Prairie Adult Social: Buy Tickets to Bid During the Live Auction!
Ready to have a great time? Our Dueling Pianos Adult Social is happening on Friday, February 21, from 7pm-10pm at Cress Creek Country Club.
In addition to an online silent auction (look for teacher experiences here!), be sure to get your tickets so you can participate in the LIVE auction that night (that’s your chance to bid on Art From the Heart pieces)!
To buy your ticket, scan the QR code or follow this link. Last day to buy tickets is 2/18!
What should you wear? Let’s embrace our Dueling Pianos meets Gatsby Era theme with style and flair!
Ladies: Think fun and festive—maybe that sparkly dress you’ve been waiting to wear, a chic cocktail dress, or stylish pants with a statement top.
Gentlemen: Suits, dress pants with a sharp shirt, or anything cocktail-appropriate will fit the vibe perfectly.Whether you go full Gatsby or just want to dress up a little, the key is to feel comfortable, confident, and ready to dance the night away!
We hope you can join us for a fun night out to support our school!
Thank You to Our Prairie Social Sponsors!
The Prairie Garden Needs Your Help: No Gardening Experience Needed!
The Prairie Edible Garden Committee is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join us! You don’t need to be a gardening expert to lead or join the Prairie Edible Garden Committee! This committee is about coordination, teamwork, and having fun while creating a sustainable, educational, and enriching space for our students.
We’re looking for two Prairie parents to step into co-chair roles. These positions are more about organization and collaboration than digging in the dirt! We’re also fortunate to have Dennis Johnson, a Prairie grandparent and master gardener, as our expert advisor. Dennis plays a vital role in lesson planning, garden maintenance, and offering guidance on planting techniques and sustainability practices.
We also welcome additional committee members—the more, the merrier! A larger team means tasks can be divided, making everything manageable and enjoyable for everyone involved.
To learn more about the co-chair and committee member roles, you can read more here.
If you have any questions or would like to help, please contact Jenny Bouchier-Hayes and Sarah Sommers at prairieschoolgarden@gmail.com.

Committee Spotlight: Adult Social
Welcome to the Committee Spotlight, a way to learn more about the different Home & School committees at Prairie and the awesome volunteers who chair them. This week we are featuring Adult Social. Adult Social is chaired by Ryan Doornbos and Elaine Wendorf.
Planning for the Adult Social has been on-going since September. Ryan and Elaine started with researching venues, doing site visits, discussing themes, and meeting with their committee volunteers. Once the decision was made to hold the event at Cress Creek Country Club on February 21st, they booked dueling pianos, designed and distributed the invitations, and developed the sponsorship levels. Now they are procuring the sponsors, gathering the teacher/staff experiences for the silent auction, and crossing their T’s and dotting their I’s to ensure a fun and successful Adult Social.
Thank you to Ryan and Elaine for their commitment to Prairie’s Adult Social!
Please contact Carolyn Buckingham (prairieschoolvp@gmail.com) with any questions, changes or submissions for the WAAG. Submissions for the following week's WAAG are due by noon on the prior Wednesday.
