24/25 After School Care at BES
Dear Parents/Guardians,
We hope this letter finds you well. We are writing to inform you of some exciting changes happening within our after school program. Over the past few years, we have struggled to find after school workers. After looking at different options, we are excited that effective August 2024, our program will be transitioning to the YMCA (Y) after school program.
We believe that this transition will bring numerous benefits to our students and families, including access to a wider range of resources, enhanced programming, and a well-established support network provided by the YMCA. The Y has a long-standing reputation in our county for excellence in youth development, and we are thrilled to be partnering with them to continue providing high-quality after school care for your children.
Some key features of the YMCA after school program include:
The YMCA after school program is a state licensed program. All staff are highly trained to work in this program.
Enriching Activities: The YMCA offers a diverse array of enriching activities, including sports, arts and crafts, STEM activities, and homework assistance, ensuring that every child can find something they enjoy.
Safe and Supportive Environment: Your child's safety and well-being are our top priorities. The YMCA provides a safe and supportive environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive under the supervision of trained and caring staff members.
Community Engagement: Through the YMCA, your child will have the opportunity to engage with their peers and participate in community service projects, fostering social skills and a sense of civic responsibility.
Flexible Options: The YMCA offers flexible scheduling options to accommodate your family's needs, including financial assistance for those who qualify.
We understand that change can be challenging, but we are confident that this transition will ultimately benefit our students and families. We will work closely with the YMCA to ensure a smooth transition process, and we remain committed to providing the same level of care and support that you have come to expect from our program.
Below you will find pricing information and a typical schedule. If you have any questions or concerns about this transition, please do not hesitate to reach out to me at (706) 866-9183 or kmccrary@catoosa.k12.ga.us. We are here to support you every step of the way.
Thank you for your continued trust and support as we embark on this exciting new chapter together. We look forward to partnering with you and the YMCA to provide the best possible after school experience for your children.
