Hello Durham Families,

I cannot believe that another week has already passed! Such an exciting and busy week that included two school-wide events: the Durham Book Exchange and the Oregon Ballet Theater Assembly. We also hosted our Kindergarten Kick Off on Monday evening for incoming kinder families. It is such a delight to see those little ones getting ready for elementary school!

I want to thank our thoughtful and generous PSO, who met on Tuesday evening at Durham. Their support, energy, and time with Teacher Appreciation Week was incredible. They are also organizing the end-of-the-year luncheon for staff, for which we are so grateful. June 11th at 7:00 is our final PSO meeting of this school year. The current PSO will be passing the baton to the new PSO. We welcome all families to attend!

I want to remind everyone that this upcoming Wednesday, May 22 is a teacher Planning Day. There is NO SCHOOL for students.

Hola familias de Durham,

¡No puedo creer que ya haya pasado otra semana! Fue una semana muy emocionante y ocupada que incluyó dos eventos a nivel escolar: el Intercambio de Libros de Durham y la Asamblea del Teatro de Ballet de Oregón. También organizamos nuestro inicio de kindergarten el lunes por la noche para las familias entrantes de kindergarten. ¡Es un placer ver a esos pequeños preparándose para la escuela primaria!

Quiero agradecer a nuestro reflexivo y generoso PSO, que se reunió el martes por la noche en Durham. Su apoyo, energía y tiempo con la Semana de Agradecimiento a los Maestros fue increíble. También están organizando el almuerzo de fin de año para el personal, por lo que estamos muy agradecidos. El 11 de junio a las 7:00pm es nuestra última reunión de PSO de este año escolar. El PSO actual pasará el cargo al nuevo PSO. ¡Damos la bienvenida a todas las familias a asistir!

Quiero recordarles a todos que este próximo miércoles 22 de mayo es el Día de Planificación docente. NO HAY ESCUELA para los estudiantes.

Club K After School Zone is excited to continue providing child care services for the Durham families. Club K After School Zone is committed to excellence in care and has been providing before and after school child care programs, full day programs and summer camps since 2006. We offer a personal level of service and attention that enables us to provide positive outcomes for the students in our programs as well as meet the needs of today’s working families. Club K's Never Stop Exploring Summer Camp: Come join us for our “Choose Your Own Path” Summer Camp where choice and fun are our top priorities this summer! We will have a variety of activities ranging from Art, SEL, STEM, and Active games. Throughout the summer we will be traveling back in time, exploring all things STEM, discovering how Magic works, competing in the Olympics and so much more!

Family Partnership Advocate - 503-431-4557 - If your family is struggling or in need of backpacks, school supplies, clothing or housing issues please reach out to Ms. Marino, she will help you navigate this issues and will try to find resources for you.

Student Support Specialist - 503-431-4509 - If you feel your student needs additional support please reach out to Quinn Romein for assistance. She manages 504 plans, student support plans, and can help families access counseling department resources
