GLOW GAZETTE
OCTOBER 7, 2024
MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Students & Parents,
Beyond the classroom learning last week, our students visited NC A&T and UNC-Greensboro, toured a printing company, and participated in over a dozen extra-curricular activities. We capped off the week by gathering in the Girard Cafeteria to watch our students cheer each other on during our Karaoke PBIS celebration.
October is set to be just as busy and exciting, with Quarter 1 wrapping up, International Day of the Girl, Fall Break, Spirit Week, and the Fall Festival all on the horizon. There's much to look forward to, and weβre grateful to experience it together.
On that note, I want to acknowledge GLOW's "Never Leave a Sister Behind" spirit. The concern and willingness to help those affected by Hurricane Helene, especially in Western NC, is truly inspiring. Stay tuned for details on how weβll come together to support those in need.
REMINDER: Wednesday is the last day of Quarter 1, and students will dismiss early (at 1 PM) on Wednesday at 1 PM. There will be No School for students on Thursday, October 10th & Friday, November 11th. We hope our students and families enjoy a restful Fall Break!
Wishing you all a great week ahead!
Kate B. Tayloe
Principal
