This year, Dr. Nicol welcomed over 450 staff members and Ellington Board of Education Members to Convocation 2023 in the high school auditorium. The theme: Creating Conditions.

"To be sure, no longer will the Ellington Family be a victim of the plugged-in compliance culture created by society. Students of all ages, and other members of the Ellington Family, will have the opportunity to choose healthy alternatives. To create conditions for success in our lives and in our buildings each and every day."

At the June meeting, the Ellington Board of Education along with EHS Administration, appointed Noelle as the new student liaison for the 23-24 school year and at the September meeting, she gave her first report! Check it out HERE! We look forward to having Noelle on Board with us this year! Welcome, Noelle!

We celebrated a big birthday for Board Member Underwood. Ms. Underwood serves as the Board Liaison to CLS, CREC, Wellness Committee and also sits on many board committees! We are grateful for her time and dedication to the Ellington Public Schools Community! Happy 80th Birthday Miriam!

At the September Board Meeting our IT Professionals were recognized for all the work they do in the summer to prepare us for a successful year ahead and all that they do year-round to keep the district "up and running"!
