SEAS Faith Formation
November 2024
A Note from Driskill's Desk
Happy November!
As the weather cools down, we find ourselves in a season of gratitude. We, as a faith formation program, are incredibly thankful for your continued support.
Your commitment to bringing your children to class, the 10 AM Sunday Mass, and the 5 PM Family Mass is truly inspiring.
Last week's Saint Parade was a delightful event, filled with adorable little saints. Thank you to everyone who participated and made it such a special day. We’re also grateful to our ministries for providing treats for our “Saint or Treat” family event.

The Catholic Parent
Do you ever feel like it's almost impossible to raise holy kids who love God (and sit still in Mass!) in our modern world? You're not alone. This six-episode series features real Catholic families like yours sharing their daily struggles and victories. Created by the Augustine Institute and Catholic Sprouts, The Catholic Parent aims to encourage you as a mom or dad as you embrace your God-given role to form your family in the richness of the Catholic faith.
You can watch the series with your spouse, with friends, on your own, or as part of a small group! The participant guide includes questions for group discussion, topics for personal reflection, and ideas to try at home.
It is FREE on FORMED

Safety Procedures
The safety of our students, families, volunteers, and staff is a top priority for our Faith Formation Ministry. It is important to us that parents feel comfortable and confident while their children attend classes at SEAS. We take several steps to ensure we are providing a safe environment for all.
Each of our volunteers and all of the staff are required to take Safe Environment Trainings. Our Good Shepherd and Elementary students must be picked up from their classroom to guarantee that they leave with a trusted adult. You will also notice that we have a police officer on site during each class session.
To help with safety measures, we ask that parents read the below handbook provided by the Archdiocese of San Antonio.

Archdiocese Safe Environment Protocols
In the month of October and April, our Faith Formation programs will be going over some safe environment and boundary topics with our students. Each program coordinator will provide you with more information on specifics.
