I Was Here: Dancing For Humanity 2025
A benefit performance in honor of dance alumna, Katharine Campbell. All proceeds were donated to Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity.
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our incredible students in our Dance Program for their excellent performances this week in the "I Was Here: Dancing For Humanity" dance benefit! Together with Mrs. Stahl, your talent, dedication, and passion brought our stage to life for another unforgettable Dance Benefit.
The performances were dedicated in honor of Katharine Campbell, GCIT Class of 2015. Katharine was a remarkable young woman who was selfless and an asset to the GCIT Dance Program, along with her local community.
Eight years ago, the GCIT dance community came together to process loss, utilizing their love of dance to honor a friend and give back to the community. Today we continue to honor Katharine’s
legacy and recognize the lasting impact she left behind. Every performance opportunity is a gift, but this event truly gives the GCIT dance family a unique opportunity to share the power of dance and experience the connection of community. Many of the dance pieces were choregraphed by students in our Dance Program, and through their movements, they not only showcased the beauty of dance, but also communicated powerful messages of unity, compassion, and hope.
Thank you Mrs. Stahl and the Dancers for your hard work, energy and for continuing to be part of something so meaningful to our school community. We would also like to extend sincere thanks to our parents, family members, and the wider community for their support to this worthy cause. We are already looking forward to next year's performances.
Special thanks to Ms. Knoblock and Mr. Bates for their assistance during the performances, and to The WWKD Foundation for their partnership and continued support!
We would like to acknowledge members and the Executive Board of the GCIT National Honor Society for Dance Arts!

Our students had a tour of the training center and learned of the many different careers that exist on the distribution side of electrical service. It was a great experience for everyone.
