What to Expect this Week/Month
- Front doors will open at 7:30am. First bell rings at 8:15am. When students arrive on campus before 7:45am they will go to the gym, until they are released to class.
- Students who arrive after the 8:15am bell, will receive a Tardy, unless they have arrived to school on a late bus.
- October 1-31 - Principal's Appreciation Month
- October 1-31 - Bully Prevention Month
The A-G Student of the Week is Megan Cooper,
nominated by Ms. Middendorf.
" Megan is an excellent worker and a fantastic student to have in class." - Brooke Middendorf
The H-O Student of the Week is Audrina Janoski,
nominated by Ms. Miller.
Audrina Janoski exhibits multiple character traits that should be recognized. She is respectful in the ways she interacts with others. She is caring and helpful, and is always responsible for both her work and herself. She goes above and beyond every day in class by waiting until everyone else has left and then proceeds to push in any chairs that were not pushed in before she leaves. She knows that this is something I appreciate, but I love that she is self-motivated to go above and beyond to show not only respect but caring in order to help me keep our classroom neat and orderly. - Erin Miller
The P-Z Student of the Week is Madison Weeks,
nominated by Ms. Boddie.
Madison consistently exemplifies kindness, caring, and responsibility. Anytime a student walks into the clinic, she greets them with her beautiful smile and makes the students feel welcomed. She is engaging with her peers and adults. She's always helpful with keeping the clinic cleaned, organized, and making endless amounts of ice packs. - Nurse Boddie

PBIS Donations
PBIS Expectations & Rewards - PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports. One large piece is explaining expectations upfront. Another piece is rewarding students when we see those focused on positive behaviors. 3 campus-wide expectations posters (CLICK HERE) are placed throughout the campus. Teachers will take time during the first day or two to explain these rules in detail and help students understand what they look like. Our campus is also implementing new software (Classcraft) to encourage students to earn rewards and use them in many different ways. Here is a short video on how Classcraft works: https://youtu.be/M2uqd9ZOMaw. Please have your child download the app on their device and log into Classlink on the LCISD webpage (at the top) to start to explore what this is all about. They do NOT need a phone to do this. It can be done on a laptop or computer.
Parents if you are interested in donating to the PBIS school store the following list is a great start. We accept all donations both monetary and items.
We are excited to announce that H-E-B is a proud sponsor of the PBIS Store at Leaman.
If your company would like to sponsor the store, please contact Mr. Kracker, Mr. Gilmore or Ms. Session for more information.
