Principal's Message
Greeting families,
I hope you are having a great weekend.
I want to thank all the families that are registered already and also all of those that have reached out with questions. We know there is a registration issue with students in PK 3 this year that are moving to PK 4. During the registration process, you have been asked for a code that we still need to get. The district is working to resolve the issue. As soon as we get it, we will publish it. Please, see the Resources you can use section for more registration information.
Also, our PTO is putting together a picnic, and we still need volunteers. Please help us make this a successful event by donating your time. We need volunteers to support our PTO set up the games, and run some of them.
I included the official picture day flyer in this newsletter; a hard copy was sent home on Friday. You may order the pictures online. The company offers group and individual images.
Last, remember that Monday, April 10th, we do not have classes as this is an Inclement weather day. We will see you on Tuesday.
If you have questions or comments, please do not hesitate and ask.
Thanks for choosing us!
Hello Biomed Prep Parents!
The Spring Family Picnic is coming up on Saturday April 22, from 11am-2pm. We need your help to make this a successful event, full of fellowship and fun. The Picnic will take place on school grounds, in the grassy area between the school building and the “solar” parking lot. Each class will have a special small donation request, more info to come on that.
The big needs are below. Please reply to Andrea Torzone at ATORZONE@GMAIL.COM with which area/activity you are able to help us with. You can also text Julia at 773-895-2709.
If you have ideas about how to make this a super day, please send them as well 😊 Donations to PTO are also appreciated for supplies, etc.
FOOD:
Right now, the plan is for families to bring their own picnic blanket and main course lunch for their kids and whoever else comes with them. The only way for us to provide a “main course” lunch is through donated, pre-made food.
Does anyone have connections for lunch food?
Who is willing to obtain donations of pre-made food?
Local bakeries were happy to donate for the November picnic which was cancelled due to weather. Who would try to obtain donations?

Playground Update- 04/02/2023
According to the Dallas Independent School District Director of Grounds and Athletic Fields
the playground will ship mid- May and will be installed by the end of May.
The playground will have stand-alone equipment due to the size of the space and playground equipment space regulations.
The total cost is over $100,000. I will get the final price once it is available.
Digital Library Resources
We want to share these digital resources with you. Unfortunately, we have yet to get access to some resources as we do not have a librarian, but I am working on it. Please email me if you need help with any resources.

Social and Emotional Learning (S.E.L)
We are proud to be a campus that works in Social and Emotional practices with our students. Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) builds the skills, knowledge, and attitudes that both students and adults need to be successful in school, work, and life. They include things such as knowing and controlling your emotions, teamwork, understanding others, making positive choices, and resilience.
There are four signature practices that the school follows:
Morning Meetings
Mood Meter
Respect Agreements
Calming Corners
