Congratulations to our awesome Jennifer Miranda! Ms. Miranda has been at HG for over a quarter of a century! One staff member shared: “Jen Miranda : HG :: Susan Lucci : All My Children.” Jen’s coworkers have mentioned her patience and calmness, preparedness for meetings, friendliness, willingness to help wherever she’s needed, and being so supportive of her peers. Most importantly, Jen always looks out for the best interest of her students and holds them accountable so that they can succeed. Some nice things her coworkers said about Jennifer are: “She’s always there for colleagues,” “Jen is a treasure here,” and, “She provides us supports, lends an ear if we’re having a hard time, and brainstorms solutions.” How lucky are we to have Ms. Miranda at our school?!

Congratulations to our amazing Ashley Marino! She has taken on a new role this year at HG as what one staff member deemed our “behavior expert.” Her coworkers noted her patience, enthusiasm, passion, kindness, and empathy. Ashley has incredible relationship-building skills and always makes students feel capable, valued, and loved. Some comments our staff made about her are: “Ashley puts her full heart and soul into caring for every student,” “She has genuine compassion and is very dedicated in making sure that students’ needs are met,” and, “I am so grateful to have her here!” We are so fortunate to have Ashley Marino on our staff!

If your student is absent, don't forget to call the school office to let us know the day and reason why. Whenever possible, please provide a doctor note if your student is out for illness.

8th grade families, your students are invited to attend an informational meeting for Pacific Crest Academy to learn about their unique program for incoming freshmen. Meetings will be held 1/24 (3:00pm), 2/5 (6:00pm)and 2/21(3:00pm). More information will be out after winter break.
