Meet the Bullets Recap:
On Friday, August 23rd the fall sports programs gave fans a preview of this year's teams. The teams have worked hard in practice and we look forward to seeing their success. Thank you to all of the fans and community members who donated water and sports drinks to the programs! GO BIG BLUE!
Counseling Corner
This is How I "Role":
School Counselors have many roles and no two days are the same. I wanted to share this graphic as a simple snapshot and explanation of what I do. When working with students, these are my three main areas of focus: helping them manage and navigate social and emotional situations (school and home), assisting in their academic planning and finding ways for them to succeed, and exploring and exposing them to different career paths that can include college, vocations/trades, military, and the workforce. This is my 18th year as a School Counselor and I absolutely love helping students in these areas!
September is Suicide Prevention Month. If you ever suspect that someone could be showing signs of suicide; please error on the side of caution. You can always call me and I would be happy to check on any student you may be concerned about. As Mr. Mize says, “If you see something; say something.”
Enjoy your long weekend and remember, your mental health matters!
