Congratulations to our individual stunt team with Ava Fritz, Brooklyn Tomlinson, Riley Luckie, and Leah Vrabcak. They took 1st place in the D1 Small All-Girl Stunt category at the NCCCA State Championship!

9 Conference champs in the SAC Conference Championships. Our Vikings have had 18 consecutive years as the Conference champs!

The UP Wrestling team advances in the Duals Championship. Go Vikings!!

Congratulations to our lady Viking Swim Team! They competed at the NCHSAA 3A Regionals. We had over 20+ races that resulted in personal bests, 10+ swimmers who advanced to the state met, and 8 podium finishes! Congratulations to our boys and girls relay teams! Lady Vikings relay team took 1st and 2nd place. Our boys Viking relay team took 2nd place!

You can pay online for school lunches by using the K-12 Payment Center. Additionally, you can send in a check for your child to add to their lunch account.

All Juniors will be taking their ACT on Tuesday, March 11th. In order to prepare for the big day and achieve the best score possible, we encourage our Juniors to utilize the resources provided to them. Tutor.com has an ACT prep section. This is full of practice tests, resources, and helpful tips. Use this 1-2 times a week before March 11th and you will see a huge improvement!

ACT Bootcamp is a resource purchased by UPHS. The Boot Camp for the ACT® is an engaging workshop delivered by expert instructors to give your students the final push they need to score college-ready. In just one day, students will learn essential ACT test taking strategies, key content for success, pacing and time management, approaches to effective guessing, and strategies for every question type. Students will be assigned a day to attend (February 27th or February 28th). Students must attend on the dates they are assigned. More information about which date they will attend will be sent through email.

UPHS offers Club Days twice a month with an altered Bell Schedule. Students can choose to get extra help/time on their school work in certain clubs, may join a service club, sports clubs, arts clubs, academic clubs, or even just choose to zen out in our relax and color/reading/knitting/crochet clubs. There is something for everyone! Take a look at our options:

Co-Ed Beach Volleyball begins this week, with the first practice on Tuesday Feb. 4th from 4:00-5:30pm. All players need to have their player checklist complete. The checklist can be obtained by emailing head coach Felicia Marks at fmarks@ncmcs.org, any and all questions can also be directed to her via that email address.

Only press/media with NCHSAA passes will be permitted past the spectator area at UPHS athletic events.

You can purchase individual tickets for a sporting event costing $10 each or purchase the annual sports pass for your family and save money. While it can be a fun way to connect with friends and family, the belief that messages and images disappear can lead to risky online behavior.
