2. Monthly Focus: Enhancing Digital Literacy
Digital Etiquette
Digital etiquette, also known as netiquette, is a set of guidelines for how to behave online. It's important to consider the impact of your actions on others, and to treat people well when communicating digitally. This applies not just to your interactions with your classmates and teachers, but to all of your online interactions.
Things to keep in mind when thinking of digital etiquette include
- Being respectful. Re-read what you are posting or sending, to ensure that is respectful.
- Consider you have proper behavior in virtual settings.
- Make sure you are clear and respectful communication in discussions.
- Keep up with safety measures such as updates to devices, creating unique passwords, and be aware of spam
- Reflect on the impact of digital actions and words.
