PROSPER ISD STUDENTS NAMED ACADEMIC ALL AMERICAN

On December 7, Avery Parker and Tanish Chauhan were recognized by the National Speech and Debate Association (NSDA) as Academic All Americans. The Academic All American award recognizes high school students who have earned the degree of Superior Distinction in NSDA; completed at least 5 semesters of high school; demonstrated outstanding character and leadership; and earned a GPA of 3.7 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).


Both Avery and Tanish compete in Congressional Debate and Extemporaneous Speaking at Prosper High School, coached by Ms. Hannah Rodriguez.

PROSPER ISD STUDENTS ADVANCE TO THE DISTRICT LEVEL OF THE NATIONAL SPELLING BEE

Prosper ISD had just short of 5000 students compete at the fist level of the Scripp's National Spelling Bee in October. In November, each campus held their Campus Spelling Bee. 470 students at our 23 campuses competed at the Campus Spelling Bee after advancing from the previous level. The students below were the Campus Champions who will be advancing the to District Spelling Bee on Dec. 12.

Baker Elementary - Keith Ng

Keith is a 5th grader. His winning word at the campus level was laborsome.

Boyer Elementary - Daniel Merlinsky

Daniel is a 4th grader. His winning word at the campus level was graphite.

Bryant Elementary - Aarav Suresh

Aarav is a 4th grader. His winning word at the campus level was grosgrain.

Christie Elementary - Jatin Kala

Jatin is a 3rd grader. His winning word at the campus level was from the vocabulary supplement and was muttonchops.

Cockrell Elementary - Prathyush Ravi

Prathyush is a 5th grader. His winning word at the campus level was hydraulics.

Folsom Elementary - Eapenn Moothedathu

Eapenn is a 5th grader. His winning word at the campus level was flamboyant.

Furr Elementary - Ethan Lee

Ethan i s a 5th grader. His winning word at the campus level was from the vocabulary supplement and was hydraulics.

Hall Elementary - Ilyas Ourti

Ilyas is a 5th grader. His winning word at the campus level was consensus.

Hughes Elementary - Aryash Singh

Aryash is a 5th grader. His winning word at the campus level was from the vocabulary supplement and was infrastructure.

Jackson Elementary - Dhruv Arun

Dhruv is a 5th grader. His winning word at the campus level was klyston.

Johnson Elementary - Tanoj Nallagatla

Tanoj is a 5th grader. His winning word at the campus level was sacrifice.

Light Farms Elementary - Gionna Goswami

Gionna is a 4th grader. Her winning word at the campus level was fuselage.

Lilyana Elementary - Srivathsan Rameshbabu

Srivathsan is a 4th grader. His winning word at the campus level was from the vocabulary supplement and was byzantine.

Reeves Elementary - Onyeje Abah

Onyeje is a 5th grader. Her winning word at the campus level was inimitable.

Rucker Elementary - Thientam Patel

Thientam is a 5th grader. His winning word at the campus level was anecdotes.

Spradley Elementary - Hiya Sannigrahi

Hiya is a 5th grader. Her winning word at the campus level was hadbot.

Stuber Elementary - Vivaan Ailani

Vivaan is a 5th grader. His winning word at the campus level was from the vocabulary supplement and was regale.

Windsong Ranch Elementary - Nishika Redy Pattem

Nishika is a 3rd grader. Her winning word at the campus level was ruffian.

Hays Middle School - Julia Chou

Julia is an 8th grader. Her winning word at the campus level was cryonics.

Jones Middle School - Dev Nambiar

Dev is an 8th grader. His winning word at the campus level was from the vocabulary supplement and was catechism.

Reynolds Middle School - Venu Tejas Chevuri

Venu is a 6th grader. His winning word at the campus level was provisions.

Rogers Middle School - Avishka Dudala

Avishka is a 7th grader. Her winning word at the campus level was esplanade.

Rushing Middle School - Sai Mukunth Kuppan Saravanan

Sai is a 7th grader. His winning word at the campus level was from the vocabulary supplement and was alighted.
