Thank you so much for your enthusiastic support of Rock Your Socks Day in honor of World Down Syndrome Day on March 21, 2025! Because of your participation, we were able to sell 318 pairs of socks! and spread a powerful message of inclusion, kindness, and acceptance throughout our school community.

It was truly heartwarming to see so many students and staff proudly wearing their colorful and mismatched socks, showing that being different is something to be celebrated. Your involvement helped spark meaningful conversations and taught our students the importance of embracing and celebrating diversity.

We are grateful for your continued partnership in making Leasure a place where every child feels seen, valued, and supported.

Legacy Studios will return on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, for individual and class group photos. Students will receive order packets to bring home next week for parents to submit their photo orders. After photo day students will be given a QR code that parents and guardians can use to access their child’s online photo gallery once the images are available.

We are excited to continue the Sora Reading Challenge into Week 4 and encourage students to read a different book each day, selecting one from the Sora library based on a daily theme. To track their progress, students will receive a reading log (see attached) where they will:

• Write the title and author of each book they read.
• Rate the book by giving it a star grade (with 5 stars being the best!).

Students who read and log five books throughout the week will be entered into a raffle drawing for a chance to win a prize!

Leasure was recognized by the Delaware Department of Education among the top 50 schools with over 700 books borrowed in the SORA application. Students are excited and we should keep the momentum going!

It’s that time of year again... time to get ready for one of our most exciting events—our Annual Sneaker Ball! Mark your calendars! The 2025 Sneaker Ball will be held on Thursday, April 17th from 5:30–7:30 p.m. in the Leasure Cafeteria and Gym.

Tickets are $10 per person and will go on sale starting Monday, April 7th. Flyers with more details will be sent home the week of March 31st, and we’ve attached the official event flyer to this newsletter for your reference.

We welcome parent participation—parents may attend and join in on the fun, but please remember that everyone attending must purchase a ticket.

To help make this a fun and successful event for our students, we will need as many volunteers as possible. Be on the lookout for a volunteer sign-up form in the coming weeks! We’re looking forward to an awesome event.
