Attendance Information & Reminder
With colder weather upon us, it’s important to adjust morning routines to ensure students arrive at school on time. Frosted windows, warming up vehicles, and potentially challenging weather conditions can add extra time to your morning commute. Starting a few minutes earlier can make all the difference in helping students begin their day smoothly and stress-free.
At Middlesex High School, the first bell rings at 7:56 a.m., and the late bell rings promptly at 8:00 a.m. Students are expected to be in their homeroom by 8:00 a.m. to avoid being marked late for daily attendance. While we occasionally allow students through the doors a few minutes after 8:00, they are still considered late if they are not in homeroom on time. As a reminder, students receive detention for every three tardies, so consistent punctuality is essential. Students arriving after 8:00 a.m. should enter through the visitor's entrance at the front of the school.
To help with timely arrivals, we recommend dropping students off around 7:50 a.m. to avoid delays from school traffic. Families can use one of two drop-off locations: the school's front entrance on John F. Kennedy Drive or the back parking lot accessible from Milton Place. Thank you for your cooperation in helping us ensure a smooth and productive start to every school day!
