Catawba Ridge Junior Cheer Camp

Thank you for joining us for our annual Junior Cheer Camp at Catawba Ridge High School. Please read this newsletter to learn more about our week together at camp. If you have any questions, please reach out to us via email or stop by the welcome table to speak with a coach when you drop your camper off each morning.

Camp Time: 8:00-11:00 (Drop off begins at 7:45 each day.)

Location: Catawba Ridge High School Gym

Please have your child bring a labeled water bottle. Due to the number of campers with various allergies, we are requesting no snacks be sent in from home. We will supplying the campers with a snack.

If your child requires medication during camp, please plan to stop by the welcome table on Monday to complete authorization forms and speak with a CRHS Coach.

DROP OFF:

In order to ensure the safety of our campers we are asking all parents to please park outside the main gym entrance and walk their camper into the gym each morning. Campers will need to be checked in with their big cheerleaders in the main arena and sit in the stands until camp begins at 8:00. Groups will sit with their assigned age group.

PICK UP:

Each parent/guardian will be given one pick up tag for their child on Monday morning. Parents are required to park outside the main gym entrance and come inside the arena to pick up their child. You must check your child out each afternoon from their big cheerleaders by showing your pick up tag. We will not release campers without a pick up tag. If someone else is picking up your child, they may show a picture of your pick up tag. In the event you misplace your tag, please stop by the Welcome Table, show you ID to a coach, and we will provide another tag for you.

On Tuesday, July 6th we will have some special alumni cheerleaders from our community joining us at camp. These athletes are current College of Charleston, USC, and Clemson cheerleaders.

You will have the opportunity to pick up your child and take pictures and/or get items autographed from 10:45-11:15 outside the main gym.

All families are invited to join us for a special camp performance. Each "team" will be performing a short routine for you. We will also have a special performance by the 2021 Catawba Ridge High School cheerleaders.

Showtime begins at 10:00am in the main gym and will last about an hour.

Camp t-shirts will be distributed on Thursday morning to all campers. Please have them wear black shorts.

We are excited to continue our tradition at CRHS this year. Two girls from camp will be selected to serve as our 2021 Green and Gold Cheerleading Mascots. Our previous mascots will be passing long the title on Thursday, July 8th at the end of our camp performance! More details to come if your child is selected.

• Catawba Ridge Cheerleaders cheer at all home and away JV and Varsity football games. Come out and support our local football team this fall!
• CRHS Varsity Cheerleaders won the 3A Region 4 Title in 2020.
• CRHS Varsity Cheerleaders placed 5th in the state in 2020.
• CRHS will be competing at the 4A state level cheer competitions during the 2021-2022 school year. Check out our website to see our fall schedule.
• CRHS Junior Varsity Cheerleaders will compete for the first time in school history this year.
• Our athletes practice all summer long, averaging 10-15 hours per week.
• Two of our athletes from our first graduating class have signed to cheer in college.
