Message From the Principal
Hello Silver Firs Families,
In our ongoing commitment to ensuring a safe environment for our elementary community, I want to share some key reminders about parking lot procedures. For detailed information on Arrival and Dismissal protocols and parking safety, please visit the Silver Firs website: Silver Firs Family Handbook. Here are a few important points to keep in mind:
Cautious Driving: Please drive slowly and attentively when entering and exiting the school parking lot. Avoid using the exit driveway to bypass the entrance line.
Designated Drop-off and Pick-up Zones:
- Make sure to use the designated drop-off and pick-up areas safely and effectively. Do not stop or park in no-parking zones or fire lanes.
When walking your student to the undercover area, please use the crosswalk located at the bottom of the parking lot by the gym. Avoid crossing in front of cars in the Kiss and Go Lane.
Please do not drop off your student(s) in the middle lane of the parking lot; they should walk to the undercover area from designated zones.
Kindergarten Drop-off: All Kindergarteners must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to the Kindergarten Corral.
Drop-off Times: Students can be dropped off starting at 9:00 AM, unless they are having breakfast at school which begins at 8:45 AM.
Modeling Safe Behavior: Please set a good example for our students by consistently demonstrating safe pedestrian and driving practices.
For your convenience, a map of our parking lot is included below. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our community safe!
Spring Conferences
Mark your calendars for our upcoming Spring Conferences this March! We’re excited to invite all families to join us for a meeting with your student(s) teacher. You'll receive more details to confirm your meeting by mid-March. Open communication between home and school is vital for our students' success, so we encourage full participation from parents/guardians during these conferences. Please note that March 31st and April 1st will be designated as non-student learning days to facilitate these important meetings.
