What a fun and busy year 2024 was at Alto! Field trips, holidays and more kept us busy. We are excited to start 2025 with all of our Alto All Stars and their families!

The cold weather is upon us! Students will be outside for recess unless the wind chill factor is at or below zero degrees. Please have your kids come prepared to go outside (winter coats, snow pants, boots, etc...).

Thank you so much for calling your students absence/tardies. The attendance line is available 24/7 at 616-987-2625.

*Please note that if your student will be absent due to a medical reason (hospitalizations, severe illness) OR tardy due to an appointment (ortho, dentist...) a signed medical note is required for the absence to be marked as "medically excused." Medically Excused Absences are exempt from the attendance limit totals if appropriate documentation is provided.

*A student must be fever, vomit and/or diarrhea free for 24 hours, without the use of medication before returning to school.

We would like to offer your student the opportunity to participate in a program at Alto Elementary School called “Hand2Hand”. This program helps provide a student with food for the weekends and is intended for families who currently may be experiencing a financial burden. The first backpack is set to be delivered on January 9. See attached information to sign up for the program.
