Board of Education Meeting Recap

Some highlights from SHS include:

- Homecoming and Spirit week were great - so many people participated and everything went smoothly.

- We held our club expo and a lot of people signed up to join!

- PSAT will be given to 9th, 10th, 11th graders with workshops for seniors

- Our SHS Play will be coming up in November, "12 Angry Jurors"

- It's Hispanic Heritage Month, our Herencia Latina club has been doing a lot of education in the schools

- Join us for the Spaghetti Dinner on October 20, it benefits the senior scholarships

- Progress reports go out this week as well.

This meeting, Dr. Gundersen spoke about the upcoming Mountie Minds meeting scheduled for October 15. This is a meeting for members of the Mountie Minds (made of students, parents, community members and staff). It will be held at the high school to talk about the facilities and grounds. He will report back in a future board meeting.

He then turned the meeting over to our External Auditor, who gave a brief report on the audit, which can be found here.

At the end of the meeting, Dr. Gundersen addressed transportation, mentioning the strides that the District is still taking to make adjustments.

He also recognized and thank the Board of Education for their dedication and work with the district in advance of Board Appreciation Week, happening next week.
