BEAR NEWS
PARENT / STUDENT NEWSLETTER BEVERLY HILLS February 2025
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope this message finds you well as we step into February.
We are seeing great progress academically. Your support at home is invaluable, and we deeply appreciate it. Encourage your children to keep pushing their limits and striving for excellence. Every day is a new opportunity for growth and learning.
February is the start to a busy and exciting time. With the spring semester in full swing, our students are preparing not just academically, but for all sorts of activities. From UIL competitions to track meets, soccer season, course registration and cheer/dance tryouts, there’s always something happening. We encourage you to stay involved in your child’s journey by checking in with your students, attending school events and maintaining open communication with teachers.
This week, our counselors will be presenting information to all 7th graders regarding their course selections for next year. The Dobie9 counselors will be here this week to speak with 8th graders individually about their course registration for 9th grade. We are excited to help your child begin the process of planning their courses for the next school year.
Thank you for trusting us with your child’s education. We are looking forward to another great month of instruction!

Dismissal Procedures
As we strive to ensure the safety and well-being of all our students, I want to take a moment to remind you about our dismissal procedures.
Car Riders:
Our standard procedure is for car riders to be picked up in the front of the school. However, if you choose to pick up your child in the side parking lot, please adhere to the following guidelines:
Park in Designated Areas: It is imperative that you park your vehicle in a designated parking space and refrain from parking on the curb. This ensures a smooth flow of traffic and prevents congestion in the area.
Exercise Caution: We strongly advise against picking up your child in the side parking lot, as it can pose safety risks. However, if you opt for this alternative, please exercise extreme caution and be vigilant of other vehicles and pedestrians.
Increased Awareness: We have noticed an increase in the number of vehicles parking on the curb, which is a safety concern. Therefore, we cannot allow anyone to park in such a manner, as it obstructs traffic and jeopardizes the safety of our students and staff.
Bus Riders:
To ensure safety and efficiency, ALL all bus riders must report to the cafeteria for dismissal. Any bus rider who goes outside to wait for their bus will not be allowed to board. We'll continue to remind students of this, but we urge you to reinforce this message at home.
Your cooperation in following these procedures is greatly appreciated, as safety is our utmost priority. By adhering to these guidelines, we can ensure a secure and efficient dismissal process for everyone involved.
