Blood Drive! Donate to Save a Life!
The Kirkwood Service Group is hosting its annual Blood Drive on Monday, November 4th in the Denver Miller Gym from 8 am - 1 pm. We could use your help advertising it during homeroom! Students 16 years and older are eligible to donate (students who are 16 years of age will need to fill out a parent consent form which can be picked up in N-154 or SC-108).
Every day, patients who need blood are in crisis and you can help by volunteering to donate. Less than 10% of the population gives blood, so donors that give on a regular basis are important to meet these needs. ImpactLife is an organization that proudly serves patients throughout the St. Louis region. You can learn more about them by heading to their website.
Students and staff willing to donate can sign up HERE or by accessing the QR below. If anyone has any questions, please direct them to Katie Meyers (the math one ) in N-154 or Kenzie Boget in SC-108.
2027 Pioneer Shout Out Reese Groh: Excellence in ELA!
"Reese gives me a run for my money. Always asking intriguing questions and pointing out nuances that others miss, Reese is a class leader who assumes the role unknowingly but who does so because she truly cannot help herself. She has something to say, and when she speaks others listen. This is not to say that Reese does not consider the perspectives of others; in fact, Reese is incredibly empathetic and often helps focus our class on the experiences of others. Furthermore, she is a gifted (truly gifted) writer who is humble. She did not want me to share her journalistic narrative essay, but trust me: it is captivating and beautifully written."
